below and become a NSA certified. A written exam will be issued at the end of

How much are umpires paid?
The standard payment for a certified umpire is $23 per game. However
this may vary for tournaments.
How can a team rent a certified umpire?

What kind of uniform does a certified
umpire wear?
The standard uniform can vary.
This is a generalized summary of what you
can expect to see:

Official, clean white or red umpire shirt

Black slacks or shorts
·
Official black umpire's hat

Black shoes

Official black umpire's ball bag

Official wind jacket
·
Official spring/fall jacket
·
Official rain suit

White or black socks
What's the age requirement to be certified?
18 yrs old
What does being certified mean?
A certified umpire has taken the workshop,
passed the exam and carries an official card identifying themselves as a
certified umpire while at a game.
Where is it valid?
Your
umpire certification is valid nationally.
Where can you use it?
You can be a certified umpire at any
sanctioned NSA Canada event as well as local tournaments.
