 Failure to do so may result in a fine for your team.

The diamond condition line (780-402-8989)  message and this web page are updated daily at 4:30 p.m.
If you call the hotline before 4:30 p.m., you will hear diamond condition information regarding the previous day.
We appreciate you not calling the office line for general diamond condition information.


Please check this webpage or call the hotline if objectionable weather is imminent.
However, in Alberta weather can change at any moment.
Please use your best judgement and stay off the diamonds if weather conditions change after 4:30 p.m.

 

What do I do if my game is rained out?

 

If there is heavy rain, hail or snow, the diamonds should not be played on.

Playing on the diamonds in inclement weather causes permanent damage and reduces the overall quality of our facility.

If your game is rained out, please call the other team captain to confirm.

The home team captain will call the office at 780-539-9990 as soon as possible to schedule a makeup game.

 

Help protect the quality of the diamonds.

Only play on a diamond if weather permits.

 

Using a diamond in inclement weather may do permanent damage.

This damage can cost thousands of dollars to repair.

SPBA is a non profit, volunteer based organization. We need all available funds for the operation of and improvements scheduled for our facility.

We do not have extra funds available for making expensive and completely preventable repairs.

Weather has changed this evening. I’m not sure if I should play or continue my game on the diamonds?

Sometimes this webpage and hotline will both report that all diamonds are playable, but the weather changed since 4:30 p.m. when they were updated.

A light drizzle/sleet is OK to play in. Please do not use the diamonds if the intensity of the rain/sleet increases or puddles begin to form on the diamond.
