Help keep our facility clean

Please respect the health and safety of others. Smoking is not allowed in the dugouts or on any baseball diamond.  New ashtrays are installed on the exteriors of each dugout at SBC. Please place your cigarette butts in the provided containers. This will help keep the park tidy and reduce the volunteer hours it takes to clean up cigarette butts throughout SBC.

We thank you for your cooperation.

While using our facility, please help do your part to keep it clean. There are beverage recycling and trash containers located throughout the park for your convenience.  Please pick up any litter and debris you’ve left in dugouts after your usage.

With all the wonderful walking trails and grass fields at SBC, dogs are a frequent sight at our facility. Dogs are welcome, however please be respectful of other park users and clean up after your animal.  Pet waste is a serious health issue as well as being unsightly. Whether you are walking on the trails or in the grassy fields on the west diamonds, clean up after your pet. There are doggie bag dispensers located on both the east and west sides of SBC for your convenience.

Protect the Quality of the Diamonds

Only play on the diamonds is weather permits.

Using a diamonds in inclement weather may do permanent damage which can cost thousands of dollars to repair.

SPBA is a nonprofit, volunteer based organization. We need all available funds to make the facility better for everyone, not for making expensive, preventable repairs.

The diamond condition line and webpage are updated daily at 4:30 p.m. Please check either if objectionable weather is imminent.  In Alberta, weather can change at any moment. Please use your best judgment if weather conditions change after 4:30 p.m.

What do I do if my game is rained out?

If your team wants to practice on a diamond, please pay for your usage. Call the office and purchase a practice permit for $30.00.

Work is required on a diamond after a team plays or practices. That means SPBA resources are needed. The practice permit fee covers the cost of those resources. Teams that use any diamond without a practice permit will be fined $50.00 per team. Repeat offenders may be banned from the facility.

Stop after the game for a quick snack and a cold beer.

A great way to catch up with friends or make new ones!

Alcohol is not permitted on any baseball diamonds, dugouts, bleachers or parking lots.

The RCMP will be patrolling SBC and issuing $200 fines for illegal alcohol.

Drinking of illegal alcohol puts SPBA at serious risk of losing their liquor license.

SPBA depends on a valid liquor license to raise funds in the Beer Gardens that support improvements at our facility.

Without a liquor license, thousands of dollars would be lost for our non-profit group as well as the convenience of stopping for cold beer after a game for everyone.

Help support your diamonds and facility, leave your alcohol at home.
