South Peace Ball Association

We are committed to developing the sport of ball and providing the highest quality facilities for recreational users in Grande Prairie and area.

SPBA is a volunteer based, non-profit group which oversees the the maintenance and management of the baseball diamonds in Grande Prairie.

It is an umbrella organization and is a separate entity from the leagues that rent the diamonds.

South Bear Creek Facility

There are 3 fenced and shaled diamonds at South Bear Creek (SBC).

They’re complete with dugouts, an electronic score clock and bleachers.

An additional 6 diamonds are across the road from the main complex.

 

The South Bear Creek facility also has:

·         a pavilion

·         a batting cage

·         2 beach volleyball courts

·         an umpire change room

·         an enclosed concession and beer garden

·         washrooms and showers

·         grandstand seating for 500

·         a fully serviced RV campground

·         several walking trails

 

 

Additional Baseball Diamonds

SPBA also maintains the following diamonds outside of South Bear Creek:

·         2 Parkside diamonds located along Resources Road

·         2 Leisure Centre diamonds across from the Composite High School and Leisure Centre

·         7 Dave Barr diamonds located beside the Dave Barr Arena and St Patrick Catholic School

·         5 College diamonds located on the Grande Prairie Regional College
